Card Show Reaction

This past Saturday, I went to a card show for the first time in almost two years, and I as I previously blogged about, I set some significant goals for myself.  In the coming days, I will reveal the “booty,” but for now, I wanted to assess whether or not I achieved my goals.

1.  Add at least 20 cards to add to my various player collections.

I exceeded this goal by a mile, thanks to some wonderful 5 for $1 boxes.

2.  Add a Gary Carter Rookie card.

“So happy, I can’t even feel my arms!”

3.  Add an on card auto of either Fisk or Carter.  Or if I shoot the moon, Piazza or Bench.

Not only did I not get one, not one of the twenty something dealers had one to even look at.

4.  Add another Evan Gattis auto to my collection.

Sadly, as with the other autos I wanted, this eluded me as well.

5.  Find several relics and autos for upcoming trades.

Watch your mailboxes to find out!!

While I was disappointed that I couldn’t find the autos that I wanted, I was able to add some important cards to my collection.

I also bought a couple of hobby boxes.  The contents of which will be discussed in the future.

Overall, I had a great time and look forward to sharing the results.

Not a bad show.. I always have certain goals going in. They always seem to change.
